The best tools for building modern web applications

Cursor
Cursor is a code editor with AI built directly in. Think of it like Microsoft Word for programming, except it has a smart assistant that can write code for you, explain confusing parts, fix errors, and answer questions in plain English—all in the same window. It makes coding much faster.
Supabase
Setting up a backend used to take weeks of complex technical work. Supabase automates away all the common tasks and now you can get a ready to use backend working in hours instead of weeks.

Vercel
AWS made hosting a web application way easier than buying your own servers. However by 2015 there was still a lot of complexity left and they were focused on serving the enterprise. Vercel makes it super easy for SMB's to host their web applications by automating away all the common tasks.
Stripe
Stripe makes it easy to process payments online. They have become the default for startups and SMBs. Before stripe processing payment was a nightmarishly complex process.

Resend
Resend makes it really easy to send email. In the past SendGrid was the best option but over time their solution has become complex and expensive. Resend is the cheap and easy way to send email in 2025.
Hotjar
Hotjar records a video of what users see on their screen everytime they visit your site. It is great for discovering bugs or other problems with the website. Since it is a video you can see exactly how people are interacting with your website.
